An important part of any dancers' training is performing. To supplement our in-class training, the Scripps Performing Arts Centre and its Youth Company in residence, the Scripps Performing Arts Company, presents full length productions twice a year. While the spring production varies, the winter production of "The Nutcracker" is an annual event.
The best part about performing with a youth company is that parts that would normally be reserved for adults or principal dancers are all performed by our talented and technically skilled young dancers.
Regardless of whether you've been dancing for 10 years or you've never danced before, EVERYONE gets a part!
Our annual production of The Nutcracker is a huge community event, regularly selling out the entire weekend. Over the years, through Nutcracker ticket sales, Scripps Performing Arts Company has raised and generously donated over $17,000 to the Scripps Ranch Public Library and close to $20,000 to Isabella's Giraffe Club at UCSD Medical Center.

Open Auditions Starting September 2008 at Both Locations!
ages 3 1/2 to 19 years old. There may also be parts for adults over 20 years old in the party scene.
It is an Event Not to Be Missed! Stay Tuned for Audition Dates and Times.
Open Pre-Professional Level Auditions will be held September 13, 2008, with some rehearsals starting later in the month
There are a limited spaces per location and cast, so be sure to sign up for auditions ASAP.
